Parkersburg South 82, Martinsburg 69

MORGANTOWN-No.1-ranked Parkersburg South was too much for Martinsburg as the Lady Bulldogs fell to the Patriots 82-69 in the Morgantown Invitational on Monday.

Martinsburg, without starting point guard Dashel Wright, led 37-36 at halftime, but a 29-12 third-quarter advantage by the Patriots proved too large for the Bulldogs to overcome despite outscoring Parkersburg South in the fourth quarter.

Jackie Brewer was Martinsburg's leading scorer with 22 points, while Yolonda Pinkcett also finished in double figures with 20 and Iesha Robinson added 17. The Bulldogs fell to 2-1 on the season, while the Patriots stayed undefeated at 6-0.
