South girls top Dragons

ST. ALBANS — All 13 of Parkersburg South’s players got in the game here Saturday night as the defending Class AAA state champions stomped host St. Albans, 45-22.

The Red Dragons (5-9) received eight points from Brittany Crawford and trailed 19-2 after the first quarter.

The Patriots (12-2), who entertain Ritchie County Tuesday, was led by Taylor Phillips’ 14 points and six steals. Patriot Kim Stephens added nine caroms, five steals and a trio of assists.

PARK. SOUTH 45, SA 22: Taylor Phillips scored 14 points as visiting Parkersburg South (11-2) picked up the win. Brittany Crawford had a team-high eight points for St. Albans (5-9), which played its fourth ranked team in a week.
